Born To Do This

Genuine. Versatile. Relentless.

Those three words have defined Ryan Trotti from the beginning.

Raised on traditional country by his mom, classic rock & roll by his dad, and ’90s hip-hop by his friends, the Carolina-born singer, songwriter and musician grew up with an unusually wide musical vocabulary. That mix still runs through his music today, blending modern country storytelling with rock & roll energy, sharp lyricism, memorable hooks and influences that stretch well beyond the boundaries of any one genre.

Trotti’s musical journey started in the third grade when his mother taught him a blues riff on the piano. From there, he taught himself drums, guitar and piano, developed an ear for production, and began producing music at just 12 years old. Songwriting and performing soon followed.

That versatility eventually opened doors beyond his own artist career. Trotti has written and produced across country, rock, pop and hip-hop, including studio sessions with platinum-selling rock band Crossfade. His creative work has extended beyond music as well. He co-produced and starred in an award-winning short film and music video that premiered to a packed theater in Charlotte, North Carolina.

But through every influence and every creative turn, country has always remained home.

In 2019, Trotti was named Carolina Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year, a milestone that helped launch the next chapter of an increasingly ambitious independent career. His music has also earned radio recognition, including a Top 40 appearance on the Country Breakout Chart.

Years of performing have shaped Trotti into an artist equally comfortable commanding a full band on stage or delivering a lyric that demands a closer listen. His live career has taken him from clubs and honky-tonks to festival stages, including Nashville’s Broadway and Carolina Country Music Fest.

Now based in Nashville, Trotti is leaning harder than ever into the sound that feels most like him: modern country with rock & roll muscle, memorable hooks, authentic storytelling and just enough edge to keep things unpredictable.

That evolution can be heard in his latest release, “Tequila Cowboy,” a gritty, hook-driven country track built around a fresh lyrical concept, swaggering production and the kind of storytelling that has always been at the center of Trotti’s music.

For Trotti, versatility has never meant chasing trends or trying to be everything to everybody. It comes from a lifetime spent absorbing different kinds of music, learning nearly every side of the creative process, and figuring out how to bring those influences together without losing the thing that matters most: authenticity.

Whether he’s writing a country song, turning up the guitars on stage, producing in the studio or bringing an unexpected influence into the mix, the goal has stayed the same from the beginning:

Make it real. Make it memorable. Make it Ryan Trotti.

“People are diggin' Ryan Trotti!”
